IN AN UNIQUE CONTEXT.
It has been the 5th year that we are literally celebrating the encounter between 100 dancers from all over the world with around 11 professional teachers in the city of DELTEBRE (Spain).
The WORKSHOP DELTEBRE has triggered interest not only at national level but also internationally, attracting a progression of participants. Over the past five years participants have come from around 30 different countries. Some people might ask why develop such activity in a city like DELTEBRE?
DELTEBRE is a little charming town, geographically placed in a very rich natural environment. Its location and the close proximity of river, mountains and Mediterranean sea inspire creativity in a very special way. The nature that surrounds the town makes those landscapes seem less urban, yet there is a strong sense of many different peoples and cultures in its history.
Moreover, we want to help to decentralize from the big cities the very specialized formation and education of the performing arts at a professional level. Ultimately we want to shorten the distance between public and performers, to finally create a better understanding and familiarity.
Everybody knows that in the month of July the Mediterranean countries are in the period of the summer season. So we want to combine the practice of dance, the learning of it and the physical/mental training with the opportunity of sharing classes with other professionals and students of other nationalities and cultures. We consider it a real pleasure to enjoy the art of dancing in such a natural environment.
DELTEBRE it is the perfect stage for this rich experience.
